CT University Marks World Kidney Day with Awareness Program

The School of Allied Health Sciences at CT University organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Kidney Day to spread awareness about kidney health and preventive care among students and staff.

The event aimed to educate participants about the importance of maintaining healthy kidneys through proper nutrition, hydration, and a balanced lifestyle.

The program featured an expert talk by renowned Nutritionist and Lifestyle Coach, Dt. Anvita Chhatwal, who shared valuable insights on maintaining kidney health through balanced dietary habits and healthy lifestyle practices.

She emphasized the importance of adequate hydration, reduced salt intake, and regular health check-ups to prevent kidney-related disorders. She also guided students on how simple lifestyle modifications can significantly reduce the risk of kidney diseases.

To make the awareness drive more engaging and informative, several interactive activities were organized during the event. A Hydration Challenge encouraged participants to track their daily water intake and understand the importance of staying hydrated. A Kidney Health Quiz tested the knowledge of students regarding kidney functions, health risks, and preventive measures.

Additionally, an awareness display board highlighted key information about kidney functions, warning signs of kidney diseases, and essential preventive tips.

The event witnessed the presence of Registrar Sanjay Khanduri and Director Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh, along with Director Administration-cum-Principal of the School of Allied Health Sciences.

They appreciated the initiative taken by the department to spread awareness on such an important health issue and encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.

Chancellor of CT University, Sd. Charanjit Singh Channi, in his message, emphasized the importance of health awareness among youth. He stated that such initiatives play a vital role in educating students about preventive healthcare and building a responsible and health-conscious society.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh also appreciated the efforts of the School of Allied Health Sciences for organizing the program. He highlighted that awareness programs like these help students understand the significance of preventive healthcare and motivate them to take proactive steps towards maintaining overall well-being.

The event concluded with an interactive session where students actively engaged with the expert, asked questions, and gained practical knowledge about maintaining kidney health through nutrition, hydration, and a balanced lifestyle.

The initiative successfully created awareness and encouraged participants to adopt healthier habits for long-term well-being.
