INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATED AT CTU

School: School of Humanities and Physical Education

CT University’s Directorate of Sports organised International Yoga Day in the university campus by practising yoga and creating awareness about its benefits. The university commemorated the memorable day by organising free yoga camp which was open for all students, parents and general public of the nearby areas. The event was graced by Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi and Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti and other officials along with faculty and students. Inaugurating the event, Parminder Kaur Channi, said, “Yoga has an extremely strong power to heal stressful mind and body. In current scenario, one needs to input yoga asana in their lives.” Yoga can be fruitful for both students and faculty. It has benefits of calming down the minds and peacefully working along in a busy lifestyle. Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti said that Yoga, at start of day, is a refreshing agent for moving along the whole day. Regular yoga practice, especially when combined with other stress relievers like walking outside or mindfulness meditation, can help battle many physical effects of stress and anxiety.”
