CT University Celebrates Basant Panchami with a Vibrant Kite Flying Festival

CT University marked the auspicious festival of Basant Panchami with great zeal and cultural fervor through a grand Kite Flying Festival, organized by the Division of Student Welfare (DSW).

The celebration beautifully welcomed the arrival of spring while showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and university leadership.

Held under the theme “Embrace the Arrival of Spring and Let Your Kites Soar High,” the event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi; Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh; Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh; Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon; Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill; Registrar Sanjay Khanduri; and Director, DSW Er. Davinder Singh, who joined students in celebrating the vibrant festival.

The university campus transformed into a lively canvas of colors as the sky filled with kites of varied hues, shapes, and sizes. Students actively engaged in kite flying, enjoyed traditional music, and relished festive delicacies, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, energy, and togetherness.

Addressing the gathering, Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi emphasized the significance of celebrating cultural festivals within academic institutions. He reaffirmed CT University’s commitment to holistic education, highlighting how such celebrations help blend tradition with contemporary campus life and enrich students’ overall learning experience.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, who led the organization of the event, expressed delight over the enthusiastic participation of students. He underscored the importance of cultural activities in promoting student welfare and fostering a positive, inclusive, and vibrant campus environment. The Division of Student Welfare ensured seamless arrangements, prioritizing safety while delivering a memorable celebration for all.
