Narinder Textile Mills

School: School of Management Studies

The industrial visit to Narinder Textile Mills on 15th September 2025 served as a valuable learning experience aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical classroom knowledge and its practical application in real-world business environments. The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to the textile manufacturing process, enabling them to understand how concepts learned in subjects such as Operations Management, Production Planning, Quality Control, and Supply Chain Management are implemented in an actual industrial setting.
During the visit, students observed the entire textile production process — from the spinning of raw cotton into yarn, weaving, dyeing, and fabric finishing to the final packaging of textile products. They witnessed the functioning of modern textile machinery, automation techniques, and various quality control measures adopted to maintain consistency in fabric texture and durability. The students also learned about energy efficiency practices, waste management systems, and sustainability initiatives followed by the mill, providing insights into how industries align with environmental and corporate social responsibility goals.
