CT University Commemorates World AIDS Day with Creative Competitions

In observance of World AIDS Day, CT University recently hosted a series of engaging competitions that successfully brought together students from CT University and CT Degree College - Collegiate. The face painting, poster making, and slogan writing contests were not mere competitions; they stood as a remarkable showcase of solidarity, creativity, and a shared commitment to a healthier future.

The event, meticulously organized by CT University's NSS Department and the Department of Student Welfare, garnered enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines. The canvas of understanding was painted with strokes of empathy, slogans of hope were penned down with conviction, and posters resonated with a collective commitment to spreading awareness and igniting change.

The winners of the Slogan Writing Competition are as follows:

  • Gurleen Kaur Arneja (BTech CSE) - First Place
  • Taranpree Kaur (BTech CSE) - Second Place
  • Navdeep Kaur (+2 Medical) - Third Place

For the Poster Making Competition, the winners are:

  • Harman Preet Singh (BCA 5th Sem) - First Place
  • Jagriti (BTech CSE 5th Sem) - Second Place
  • Taranpreet Kaur (Arts) - Third Place

And for the Face Painting Competition:

  • Prabhdeep Kaur and Simranjeet Kaur - First Place
  • Ishpreet Kaur, Ramandeep Kaur, Simran Verma, Gagandeep Kaur - Second Place
  • Manbir Kaur, Kiran Jot Kaur, Taniya, Vaneet Kaur - Third Place (All from CT Degree College - Collegiate)

The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel, including Ritu Bhalla (Assistant Professor, Professional Enhancement Cell), Hardeep Kaur (Principal, CT Degree College), and Medha Kumari (Head of School of Design and Innovation),  Roop Kanwal, Assistant Professor in the French Department.

Present at the occasion were Er. Davinder Singh, Deputy Director, Department of Student Welfare, and Er. Harwinder Singh Sohal, Program Officer, NSS Unit. CT University’s Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi commended all the participants for their creativity and commitment to raising awareness about AIDS. These events not only showcased talent but also demonstrated the strength of unity in creating a positive impact on society.
