Innovative Competitions Highlight the Role of Physiotherapy in Healthy Aging
Panel Discussion with Renowned Experts Enriches the Celebration

CT University, under the banner of the School of Allied Health Sciences, marked World Physiotherapy Day 2025 with a vibrant and insightful celebration centered on the theme “Healthy Aging.” The day-long event brought together students, faculty, and healthcare experts to emphasise the crucial role of physiotherapy in health promotion, disease prevention, and rehabilitation.

The celebration was designed to engage students in both creative expression and scientific exploration. Exciting competitions, including face and body painting, a physiotherapy quiz, poster presentations, and working model showcases, gave students a platform to illustrate their understanding of the discipline in innovative ways.

Adding to the day’s uniqueness, the Physio Walk (Fashion Walk) and Dermatome & Myotome Dance creatively translated physiotherapy concepts into live visual presentations, leaving the audience both informed and inspired.

A key highlight of the program was the panel discussion led by eminent medical professionals, Dr. Prerna Goyal and Dr. Swati Khurana, who shared their expertise on physiotherapy’s evolving role in managing lifestyle disorders and promoting healthy aging.

Their insights not only enriched the knowledge of attendees but also motivated young minds to view physiotherapy as a vital and impactful profession.

Chancellor Sd. Charanjit Singh Channi, in his message, applauded the School of Allied Health Sciences for organizing such an innovative event, stating that “Physiotherapy is not just a profession, but a service to humanity that empowers individuals to live healthier and longer lives.”

Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill commended the students’ enthusiastic participation and remarked, “The creative and academic blend of today’s event reflects CT University’s commitment to nurturing professionals who are not only skilled but also socially responsible.”

The celebration successfully highlighted the indispensable contribution of physiotherapists in modern healthcare while inspiring the next generation to carry forward the mission of ensuring wellness and healthy aging for all.
