CT University Celebrates Lohri 2026 with Great Fervour, Unity and Cultural Pride

CT University marked the celebration of Lohri 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy as the Department of Student Welfare (DSW) organised a special Lohri celebration exclusively for the faculty members on campus.

The event beautifully reflected the spirit of Punjab’s harvest festival, blending tradition, joy, and togetherness.

The celebrations began with a traditional bonfire, symbolizing prosperity and gratitude, followed by folk songs, energetic Bhangra performances, fun games, and a lively DJ party.

Faculty members actively participated in the festivities, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and cultural pride.

One of the most cherished highlights of the celebration was the Potluck Lunch, where faculty members brought a variety of homemade dishes.

This shared meal fostered a strong sense of community and camaraderie, reinforcing the values of unity and inclusivity that CT University stands for.

The potluck not only showcased culinary diversity but also strengthened interpersonal bonds among faculty members across departments.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of the University Management, including Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Simranjit Kaur Gill, Registrar Sanjay Khanduri and Director DSW, Er. Davinder Singh, whose participation added grace and encouragement to the occasion.

Comment of Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh:
“Lohri is not just a festival; it is a celebration of gratitude, unity, and new beginnings. Seeing our faculty come together in such high spirits reflects the strong cultural foundation and family-like environment of CT University. These moments strengthen our collective bond and institutional values.”

Comment of Vice Chancellor, Dr. Nitin Tandon:
“Festivals like Lohri play a vital role in nurturing harmony and well-being within the academic community. Such celebrations rejuvenate our faculty, promote cultural awareness, and reinforce the importance of togetherness beyond classrooms and academics.”

The Lohri celebration at CT University stood as a perfect example of how tradition and community spirit coexist within the academic ecosystem, making the campus not just a place of learning, but a vibrant cultural home.
