United Against Drug Abuse: CT University and Punjab Police Lead the Way

Empowering the Youth, Eradicating the Menace of Drug Abuse (ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ)


CT University, in collaboration with the Punjab Police, successfully organised a Drug Awareness Drive in the form of a road show in Jagraon.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the youth.

The road show was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including MLA Jagraon, Saravjit Kaur Manuke, IPS DIG Ludhiana Range, Nilambari Jagdale, SSP Dr. Ankur Gupta, SP Raminder Deol, social activist Anurag Paul, and DSP Jasjot Singh.

Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi welcomed the dignitaries, while Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Dean Academics Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, and Director Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh were also present on the occasion.

MLA Jagraon, Saravjit Kaur Manuke, emphasised the importance of community involvement in preventing drug abuse. She highlighted the need for collective efforts to create a society that is aware of the risks associated with drug addiction and is equipped to tackle the issue effectively.

DIG Ludhiana Range, Nilambari Jagdale, IPS lauded CT University's initiative and stressed the role of education in preventing drug abuse. She emphasized that awareness and sensitization are crucial in addressing this issue and encouraged the youth to make informed choices.

The road show featured informative posters, banners, and slogans, which helped to spread the message of drug awareness and prevention. The event provided a platform for the community to come together and discuss the issue of drug abuse, its consequences, and the ways to prevent it.
