Field Awareness Programme – Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle (Tejas Public School Sidhwan)

School: School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts

A field awareness programme was conducted by BSW III Semester students of the School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts at Tejas Public School. A total of 18 students participated in the activity held on 02-05-2025. The session focused on educating school children about the importance of nutrition, balanced diet, and healthy lifestyle practices. The activity included interactive discussions, demonstrations, and awareness talks aimed at improving health consciousness among young learners.

2. Objectives of the Programme
●    To create awareness among students about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
●    To explain the role of balanced diet in physical and mental development.
●    To promote understanding of lifestyle practices such as exercise, hygiene, and stress management.
●    To encourage preventive health practices and discourage unhealthy food consumption.
●    To provide practical tips for adopting a healthy daily routine.

3. Programme Schedule 
Programme Schedule Welcome & Introduction: Faculty coordinators introduced the objectives of the awareness programme. 
Session on Nutrition: BSW students conducted presentations on essential nutrients, balanced diet, and food safety. 
Healthy Lifestyle Practices: Discussions on physical activity, personal hygiene, sleep patterns, and stress management.
Interactive Activities: Quiz, question–answer session, and role plays to reinforce key messages.
Demonstrations: Simple food chart preparation and examples of healthy meals.
Feedback & Reflection: School students and teachers shared their experiences and learnings.

4. Student Feedback
Students of Tejas Public School expressed enthusiasm and showed interest in learning about nutrition and lifestyle practices. They appreciated the interactive approach and found the activities practical and useful for their daily lives. Faculty noted the effectiveness of peer-based awareness methods.
