CT UNIVERSITY EMBARKS ON GREEN TRANSFORMATION WITH MICRO-FOREST LAUNCH

Planting 500+ Native Species for a Thriving, Sustainable Tomorrow
Bringing Biodiversity, Clean Air, and Well-Being to the Heart of Our Campus

In a pioneering initiative to promote ecological balance and environmental sustainability, CT University launched its Micro-Forest Project, marking a historic step towards a greener and healthier future.

Over 500 native tree and shrub species were planted on campus, creating a dense, self-sustaining green ecosystem designed to thrive for generations.

This initiative aligns with CT University’s vision of fostering environmental stewardship and holistic community well-being.

Partnering with Mission Green Global, a renowned environmental organisation dedicated to ecological revival, the University aims to transform its landscape into a model of biodiversity and resilience.

The micro-forest will enhance air quality, support local wildlife habitats, and create a natural sanctuary for students, staff, and the wider community.

Prominent contributors who supported this vital mission include Satpal Singh Dehrka, Harnarayan Singh Dhillon, Madam Kanchan Gupta, and Neela Singh from Faridkot, whose commitment to sustainability and community service made this launch a success.

Their active participation demonstrates a collective responsibility to protect and restore nature for future generations.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of Registrar Sanjay Khanduri, Dean Academics Dr. Simran Gill, and Director of Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, sharing his vision on this occasion, said: “The Micro-Forest Project is not just about planting trees — it is about nurturing life, hope, and a sustainable tomorrow. This green legacy will inspire our students and the entire community to respect and protect nature.”

Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon also remarked: “We are proud to dedicate this micro-forest to our campus. It will become a living laboratory for our students and a symbol of our commitment to environmental values, social responsibility, and global citizenship.”

CT University invites everyone to join this green movement — a step forward where knowledge meets nature and every breath is a testament to collective action.
