CT University Concludes 7th Annual Athletic Meet 2026 with Grand Sporting Spirit

CT University successfully organized its 7th Annual Athletic Meet 2026, a vibrant two-day sporting celebration that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff across various schools.

The university sports grounds were filled with zeal, excitement, and an unwavering display of sportsmanship as athletes competed in multiple track and field events, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to holistic development and physical excellence.

The highlight of the meet was the remarkable victory of the School of Law, which clinched the Overall Trophy with an impressive tally of 9 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

School of Law further showcased its discipline and coordination by winning the prestigious March Past Trophy.

The School of Engineering & Technology secured the second position with 7 gold, 7 silver, and 6 bronze medals.

While the third position was jointly secured by the School of Science and Liberal Arts with 4 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Individual performances added immense pride to the event.

Komalpreet Kaur was declared Best Athlete (Girls) after delivering a phenomenal performance by winning 4 gold and 2 bronze medals.

In the boys’ category, Nirmal earned the title of Best Athlete (Boys) with 2 gold and 1 silver medal.

The staff category also witnessed inspiring participation, where Akshay Thakur was honored as Best Athlete (Men – Staff) with an outstanding record of 3 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal, while Arshdeep Kaur secured the title of Best Athlete (Women – Staff) with 4 gold medals.

The grand event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Registrar Sanjay Khanduri, and Director, Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh, whose encouragement motivated the participants throughout the meet.

Addressing the gathering, Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi congratulated all participants and emphasized that sports play a crucial role in shaping discipline, resilience, and leadership qualities among youth. He appreciated the enthusiasm and determination displayed by the athletes and reiterated the university’s dedication to promoting sports as an integral part of education.

Expressing his gratitude, Head of the Sports Department, Gurdeep Singh, stated that the 7th Annual Athletic Meet was not merely a competition but a celebration of unity, perseverance, and team spirit.

He thanked the university management, organizing team, and volunteers for ensuring the seamless execution of the two-day sporting event.
