CT University Celebrates World Radiography Day 2025 with CME & Hands-on Workshop on “Empowering Healthcare through AI-Driven Imaging Excellence”

The Department of Radiology & Imaging Technology, under the School of Healthcare Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana, celebrated World Radiography Day 2025 with immense enthusiasm and academic vigor through a Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Hands-on Workshop on the theme “Empowering Healthcare through AI-Driven Imaging Excellence.”

The event paid tribute to radiographers and imaging professionals whose precision, expertise, and compassion form the backbone of diagnostic healthcare.

The CME featured engaging expert talks, live demonstrations, and academic discussions on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in radiology and imaging sciences.

Esteemed speakers including Manjinder Kaur Dhanao, Radiation Safety Officer at CMC&H Ludhiana and Senior Vice-President of ISRT Punjab; Dr. Damandeep Singh Chawla, Associate Director, Radiology Department, SPS Hospital, Ludhiana; Tapasya Bhardwaj, Radiology Technologist, PGIMER Chandigarh and ISRT Member (Chandigarh Chapter); and Gopi Chand Dobhal, Senior Technologist, Radio-Diagnosis, PGIMER Chandigarh and General Secretary of ISRT (Chandigarh Chapter), shared their expertise on quality imaging, radiation safety, and AI-integrated diagnostic practices.

Their insights inspired attendees to explore new dimensions of precision and innovation in radiography.

A major highlight of the day was the Hands-on Workshop on “Quality Check & Quality Control in Radiography,” conducted by BN Medical Solutions, led by Rishav Sharma, Radiation Safety Officer – Quality Assurance.

The event was honored by the gracious presence of Dr. Nitin Tandon, Vice Chancellor, CT University, as Chief Patron; Dr. Simran Kaur Gill, Pro Vice Chancellor, as Patron; and Dr. Sampy Duggal, Principal, School of Allied Health Sciences, as Convenor.

In his address, Dr. Nitin Tandon applauded the department’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and technological advancement, emphasizing that CT University remains committed to bridging education with evolving healthcare innovations.

Adding color and creativity to the celebration, parallel cultural and academic activities such as poster presentations, photography and quiz competitions, and vibrant student performances reflected the enthusiasm and talent of aspiring radiographers.

The lively participation showcased the holistic development approach of CT University, where academics, creativity, and compassion go hand in hand.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Valedictory Session and Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of faculty members, students, guests, and collaborators who made the event a grand success.

Reflecting on the occasion, Chancellor Sd. Charanjit Singh Channi stated, “Radiography stands at the intersection of science, precision, and compassion. As we celebrate World Radiography Day, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all radiographers who bring unseen clarity to healthcare.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh expressed his thoughts by saying, “Artificial Intelligence is transforming diagnostics globally, and today’s celebration reaffirms our commitment to staying at the forefront of this evolution.
