Punjab State Finale of “Kahin Gumm Na Ho Jayein - Season 8” Concludes Successfully at CT University

Showcasing Culinary Traditions with the Theme “My State, My Plate”

CT University proudly hosted the vibrant Punjab State Finale of Kahin Gumm Na Ho Jayein – Season 8, a one-of-a-kind national cookery contest organised by the NGO Let’s Give Back.

The competition, which celebrates India’s diverse culinary heritage, saw spirited participation from 42 contestants, including talented students from CT University.

The grand finale not only brought together young culinary enthusiasts from across Punjab but also highlighted the significance of preserving regional food legacies.

This season’s theme, “My State, My Plate”, focused on reviving lost and traditional recipes that define India’s cultural richness.

Zainab from Bathinda was crowned as the Punjab State Winner, while Muskan Jain from Ludhiana and Preeti Sarin from Ludhiana were named as the 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up, respectively.

These top three winners will now represent Punjab at the Grand Finale to be held in NCR in January 2026, competing for a national prize pool of ₹1,50,000.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of eminent chefs, industry professionals, and university dignitaries. The state round was successfully led by State Coordinator Priyanka Jain, with strategic guidance from Chef Vishwadeep Bali and Co-Founder Atul Saxena.

A special note of appreciation was extended to Reena Mukherjee, Chief Coordinator of the National Event, for her exemplary leadership and planning.

Kahin Gumm Na Ho Jayein has grown to become a celebrated culinary platform with its presence across 15 Indian states, including Delhi/NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Backed by Padma Shri Awardee Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and renowned Bollywood actress Suchitra Pillai, the initiative brings unmatched credibility and reach to the mission of reviving traditional Indian cuisine.

Their association reflects the growing relevance of regional cuisine in India’s contemporary food landscape and underscores the commitment of Let’s Give Back to pass on culinary knowledge to the next generation.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University, expressed his pride and enthusiasm:
