CT University Signs Landmark MoU with University del Atlantico, Colombia

CT University has achieved another significant milestone in its internationalization journey by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Palma Africana University del Atlántico, Barranquilla, Colombia.

This strategic partnership reflects the university’s commitment to fostering global cultural exchange, cross-border collaboration, and holistic student development through non-academic engagement.

The MoU was formally signed on behalf of CT University by Sanjay Khanduri, Registrar, and on behalf of the Colombian institution by Prof. (Dr.) Maria Carmen Melendez Velicilla, Director, Palma Africana University and Coordinator, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports, University del Atlántico.

The agreement establishes a structured framework for promoting cultural diplomacy and strengthening institutional ties between India and Colombia.

Under the scope of collaboration, both institutions will jointly organize and participate in a wide spectrum of cultural exchange activities including music, dance, theatre, and visual arts, along with extracurricular initiatives such as debates, literary forums, leadership development programs, personality enhancement workshops, and community-oriented engagements. The partnership also emphasizes the mutual sharing of best practices in student engagement, event management, and cultural programming.

The MoU ensures that all collaborative activities conducted under this agreement will be free from registration or participation fees, reinforcing an inclusive and student-friendly approach.

The agreement, valid for a period of three years, includes provisions for extension or modification through mutual consent. The MoU was facilitated by Dr. Davinder Singh Chhina, Principal (Retd.), PES-1, a distinguished Global Heritage Exponent with over 25 years of experience in working with international folk groups and institutions to promote peace through culture. Dr. Chhina will also serve as the Honorary Advisor for Global Exchanges for both institutions.

Commenting on the collaboration, Pro Chancellor of CT University, Dr. Manbir Singh, stated:

“This MoU is a reflection of CT University’s vision to go beyond classrooms and embrace global cultural learning. Such partnerships empower our students with international exposure, cultural sensitivity, and global perspectives essential for today’s interconnected world.”
