CT University successfully organized Model United Nations (MUN) 2K25, a prestigious one-day inter-school and inter-college competition that brought together an exceptional pool of young debaters, policymakers, and emerging leaders from across the region.

Jointly hosted by the School of Management Studies and the School of Law, the event became a landmark initiative, blending academic insight with co-curricular excellence.

A Showcase of Diplomacy, Debate & Dynamic Leadership

180+ Delegates from Leading Schools & Colleges Participate in a Power-Packed MUN Experience

UNHRC & AIPPM Committees Witness Intense Deliberations, Resolution Drafting & Exemplary Student Leadership

With enthusiastic participation from over 180 delegates, the MUN saw representation from leading schools and institutions, including Sacred Heart School, The Learning Field – A Global School, Roop Vatika, East Wood School, BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, CT World School, D.A.V. Public School, DCM Young Entrepreneurs School, Peace Public School, Lovely Professional University, and several others, making it a truly diverse and vibrant forum.

The event began with a grand Inauguration Ceremony, graced by Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, and Er. Davinder Singh, Director, DSW, along with Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, Head, School of Management Studies, and faculty members from both hosting departments.

Their inspiring words set the tone for a day filled with learning, diplomacy, and spirited intellectual engagement.

Following the inauguration, delegates proceeded to their respective committees—UNHRC and AIPPM—where they immersed themselves in structured parliamentary procedures and thematic policy discussions.

In the UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council), chaired by Advocates Aakashpreet Singh and Kimreet Kaur from the Punjab & Haryana High Court, delegates deliberated on the critical agenda of combating global inequality, upholding human rights, and advancing social justice.

Meanwhile, in the AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet), chaired by Anmol Rana and Advocate Shivam Dang, participants debated the national agenda of One Nation, One Election, presenting compelling arguments rooted in political analysis and constitutional understanding.

Both committees opened with Roll Call, Agenda Setting, and the General Speakers List, where delegates set the intellectual foundation for the sessions.

This was followed by Moderated and Unmoderated Caucuses, where participants engaged in dynamic discussions, collaborated informally, drafted blocs, and developed structured resolutions. The committees also conducted author’s panels, debates on amendments, and formal voting procedures, marking a day of intense, well-reasoned, and diplomatic deliberation.

The event concluded with a dignified Valedictory and Felicitation Ceremony, during which the Dean, Student Welfare, and the Head of the Management Department honored outstanding delegates from both committees for their remarkable performance, leadership qualities, and diplomatic acumen.

A heartfelt Vote of Thanks brought the session to a close, encouraging participants to continue questioning, learning, and contributing positively to society with informed and responsible perspectives.

MUN 2K25 emerged as more than just a competition—it became a celebration of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building.
