CT UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES THE SPIRIT OF TRADITION AND TOGETHERNESS

Two-Day Celebration of Mehndi & Karwa Chauth Brings Festive Joy to Campus

Reviving Traditions with Modern Grace

The vibrant atmosphere of CT University shimmered with festive hues as the Women Empowerment Cell in collaboration with the Division of Student Welfare organised a grand two-day celebration of Mehndi and Karwa Chauth.

The event beautifully blended cultural heritage with contemporary enthusiasm, spreading an aura of happiness, color, and unity across the campus.

The festivities began with the Mehndi/Henna Celebration.

The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff, all coming together to adorn their hands with intricate henna designs — a symbol of joy and prosperity.

The celebration not only showcased artistic creativity but also served as a reminder of the importance of preserving cultural traditions in today’s fast-paced world.

Celebrating the Bond of Love and Devotion
Continuing the festive spirit, the Karwa Chauth Celebration took place as the celebration honored the sacred bond of love, faith, and commitment shared between partners.

Participants engaged in various rituals and fun-filled activities that reflected the emotional and cultural essence of this traditional festival.

Words from the Pro Vice Chancellor
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Pro Vice Chancellor of CT University, expressed her joy and appreciation for the event, stating,

“It’s heartwarming to see our campus come alive with traditions that remind us of the strength of our culture and the importance of togetherness. Events like these not only promote cultural awareness but also strengthen the bond among our students and faculty.”
