20 Farmers Recognised for Choosing Decomposition Over Burning to Protect the Environment

In a meaningful step towards building a cleaner and healthier future, CT University honoured 20 progressive farmers from nearby village areas who chose to decompose stubble instead of burning it—an eco-friendly practice that significantly contributes to reducing air pollution and preserving soil health.

This initiative reflects CTU’s commitment to promoting environmental sustainability in the region while encouraging local communities to adopt responsible agricultural practices.

By choosing decomposition, these farmers have not only prevented harmful emissions but have also enriched their soil, paving the way for better crop yield and long-term ecological balance.

Addressing the gathering, Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi applauded the farmers’ dedication towards environmental conservation.
