CT UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES WORLD OPTOMETRY DAY

To mark the World Optometry Day 2023, CT University organised free check-up camps at Janotra Convent School, Ludhiana in collaboration with Dr. Mohit Kalra, Baba Namdev Hospital and New Golden opticals at Guru Nanak School Dosanjh Moga. More than 400 patients were screened for eye ailments at the camps. At CT University, A skit was presented by the Sankara eye Academy on ‘Role of an optometrist in transforming life’ which revolved around a girl who have defect in vision and how the treatment from an optometrist transformed her life. On this occasion, Dr. Nooruz Zaman (SANKARA EYE HOSPITAL) said “Eyes is very senstive part of body. We can't see the world without it, on this world optometry day we presented a skit that aims to raise awareness of optometry as a healthcare profession and highlight the contribution that the profession makes to ensure the public’s eye health” Dr. Satish Vice Chancellor (off.) said “Optometrists play a crucial role in the eye care system to provide professional eye health services and reduce vision impairment. We provide best education facilities in collaboration with Sankara eye Academy.” On this occasion, Er. Davinder Singh, Deputy Director, Department of Student Welfare, Aman Tangri , additional director , admissions , Sunil Kumar , Marketing Department, Mr Satvir Singh, Principal, Guru Nanak School Dosanjh Moga, Dr Mohit Kalra, Dr Mohinder Pal loomba were present.
