Bird 2.0

This project showcases a bird sculpture made entirely from waste materials such as discarded metal blades and iron rods, representing how creativity and engineering can transform industrial waste into meaningful art.

MATERIALS USED

  • - Scrap metal blades (waste material)
  • - Iron rods (framework structure)
  • - Welding equipment
  • - Paint & finishing tools

OBJECTIVES

  • - Promote recycling and sustainability
  • - Demonstrate engineering + creativity
  • - Reduce industrial waste impact
  • - Inspire innovation using low-cost materials

WORKING / DESIGN CONCEPT

  • - The bird structure is designed using a strong iron rod skeleton.
  • - Metal blades are layered to mimic feathers, giving a realistic and dynamic wing shape.
  • - The design reflects motion, strength, and freedom.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Basics of metal fabrication & welding
  2. Importance of reusing waste materials
  3. Teamwork and project executionCreative thinking in engineering design
