Bachelor of Optometry (Lateral Entry)
The science of optometry involves the detection and treatment of common eye disease, management of binocular vision problems. Optometrists are responsible for the prescription of spectacles & contact lenses. The course aims to produce professionally competent optometrists serving as primary eye care health practitioners.
This Program will give students knowledge of basic Science like Ocular Anatomy, Ocular Physiology, Contact lens, Binocular vision, Low vision, Sports Vision, occupational Optometry Public health, etc.
2 years of Diploma in Optom after 10+2, having atleast 60% marks from a recognized board or equivalent.
Merit in CT-SET, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria.
