CTU Unites Minds and Hearts at Psychofest 2025

School: School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts

Exploring Stories of Trauma and Healing through Art, Expression, and Empathy
Punjab’s Brightest Minds Gather at CT University to Celebrate Psychological Awareness and Creativity

CT University’s School of Arts, Science, Humanities, and Physical Education proudly hosted Psychofest 2025, a thought-provoking and heartwarming inter-college festival rooted in the powerful theme of “Trauma, Healing, and the Psychology of Stories.”

The event brought together students from across Punjab and neighboring states, uniting them through a shared purpose of raising mental health awareness and encouraging emotional expression through the arts.

The campus came alive with a dynamic array of competitions, each crafted to explore the intricacies of human emotions and the role of storytelling in healing psychological wounds.

From soulful dance performances and emotionally charged skits to expressive poster-making and impactful declamation rounds, the fest was a showcase of talent, insight, and emotional depth.

Every act resonated with authenticity, reflecting how personal, cultural, and emotional narratives contribute to psychological resilience and recovery.

Speaking on the occasion, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh applauded the initiative:
“Psychofest 2025 stands as a testament to CTU’s commitment to holistic education where students not only gain knowledge but also develop empathy, emotional intelligence, and the courage to confront difficult truths. The way our young minds have expressed trauma and healing through creative formats is truly commendable.”

Dr. Shafayat Hussain, Head of the School of Arts, Science, Humanities, and Physical Education, emphasised the deeper value of such platforms:

“Events like Psychofest are not merely competitions; they are open dialogues that break the stigma surrounding mental health. They empower youth to express, understand, and support each other in meaningful ways. I deeply appreciate every participant and organiser for turning this vision into reality.”

Director, DSW, Er. Davinder Singh, played a pivotal role in facilitating the successful execution of the fest and was acknowledged for his continuous encouragement and support throughout the planning and implementation stages.

Psychofest 2025 reaffirmed CT University’s dedication to building a campus culture where academic excellence meets emotional well-being, and where art becomes a tool for awareness, connection, and healing.
