CTU’s Harkomal Singh Gill Shines Bright at National Arm Wrestling Championship 2025

CTU Bags Glory with 4 Gold Medals & “Champion of Champions” Trophy

A Historic Moment for the CT University

CT University once again stamped its mark on the national sports map as its star athlete, Harkomal Singh Gill, delivered a spectacular performance at the National Arm Wrestling Championship 2025, hosted in Kerala.

Representing CTU in the highly competitive 80 kg weight category, Harkomal showcased extraordinary strength, determination, and technique across both junior/youth and senior categories.

In an awe-inspiring feat, Harkomal Singh Gill showcased exceptional strength and determination by clinching a total of four gold medals at the championship. In the Junior/Youth category, he emerged victorious in both divisions, securing gold medals in the Left Arm and Right Arm events.

He continued his winning streak in the Senior category as well, once again dominating both Left Arm and Right Arm matches to bring home two more gold medals. This remarkable performance highlighted his unmatched consistency and skill across both age divisions.

Adding to the glory, Harkomal Singh Gill was also honoured with the prestigious “Champion of Champions” trophy, a title awarded to the most outstanding athlete of the championship.

This landmark achievement brings immense pride not just to the CTU Sports Department but to the entire CT University fraternity. His success reflects the commitment, discipline, and passion that the University nurtures in its students.

The relentless guidance and mentorship of Er. Davinder Singh, Director Student Welfare and Gurdeep Singh, Head of the Sports Department played a pivotal role in shaping Harkomal’s journey to this national-level victory.
