Theme: Rethinking Science Beyond Animal Models


The Indo–Sri Lanka International Symposium on Translational Research Alternatives will take place on November 24–25, 2025, at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPS), CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The international gathering aims to encourage ethical, innovative, and sustainable scientific approaches that move beyond conventional animal-based models in research.

This symposium addresses the global shift toward non-animal research methodologies in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, and drug discovery. The two-day event will feature keynote lectures, scientific sessions, oral and poster presentations, and panel discussions dedicated to exploring advancements in in vitro, in silico, and alternative in vivo models. The symposium promotes international collaboration and intellectual exchange.
CT University (CTU), Ludhiana, is a multidisciplinary institution known for academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, industry partnerships, and a commitment to ethical scientific development, CT University promotes experiential learning, research, and global competency.

The symposium focuses on redefining research ethics and scientific discovery using non- animal approaches. Discussions will revolve around modern technologies such as artificial intelligence-based simulations, microfluidic organ-on-chip systems, cell-based assays, and computational modeling, all of which are transforming biomedical research.

The main objectives are to promote Indo–Sri Lankan academic partnerships, highlight scientific advancements, create awareness about regulatory frameworks, and empower young scientists with opportunities to share and refine their research ideas.

This event is open to faculty members, scientists, researchers, regulatory professionals, students, and industry executives interested in ethical scientific methodologies, pharmaceutical sciences, and translational research.

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts of 250–300 words with Times New Roman, size 12, single spacing, including title, authors, affiliations, email, and keywords. The presenting author’s name must be underlined. Submissions should be sent to principalsops@ctuniversity.in with the subject line “Abstract Submission – Indo–Sri Lanka Symposium 2025”.

Registration Form:


The deadline for abstract submission is November 18, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be issued by November 20, 2025. The registration deadline is also November 18, 2025. Oral presentations will have eight minutes followed by two minutes of discussion. Posters should measure 1 meter by 0.75 meters vertically. Awards will be given for Best Oral and Best Poster Presentation. Various committees including Registration, Abstract Review, Scientific, Transport, Media, Hospitality, Cultural, Accommodation, Certificate, Discipline, and First Aid will ensure efficient organization and smooth coordination.
