CT University Marks International Day of Yoga with Inspiring Campus-Wide Celebration

Championing the Global Vision: ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’

CT University’s Department of Student Welfare organised a vibrant celebration of the International Day of Yoga on its campus, aligning with the global theme for the year – “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

The initiative brought together faculty and staff in a collective pursuit of mindfulness, wellness, and environmental harmony.

The yoga session was expertly conducted by Shalu Thakur and Arshdeep Kaur, who led participants through a series of rejuvenating asanas and breathing exercises.

Their guidance helped participants connect with the core principles of yoga, enhancing both mental and physical well-being.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nitin Tandon, Vice Chancellor, CT University, said “Yoga is not just a physical practice, but a lifestyle that nurtures our inner and outer ecosystems. Today’s celebration reinforces CT University’s commitment to holistic education, health, and sustainable living. It’s inspiring to see our students embracing the power of yoga with such dedication.”

Echoing the spirit of wellness and unity, Er. Davinder Singh, Director of Student Welfare, added “The enthusiasm displayed by students today reflects their growing awareness about mental health and ecological balance. Through such initiatives, we aim to cultivate a culture of well-being, balance, and collective consciousness.”

The event not only reinforced the importance of yoga in daily life but also served as a reminder of the shared responsibility we hold towards the planet and ourselves.

With an overwhelming turnout and positive energy radiating across the campus, CT University once again proved its dedication to nurturing not just brilliant minds but also healthy and grounded individuals.
