Operation theatres in hospitals, Emergency care departments, Central Sterile Supply Department as well as ICUs in hospitals are places where O.T Technicians are needed. Thus, leads a good employability options for OTT. As an O.T Technician is playing a vital role in operating room either in surgical scrub side or ensuring quality control and smooth flow work of OR ensuring their sustainability in healthcare sector. Via this program students will get to have knowledge of all tools using (including the new ones E.g Robotic equipment’s) in operating room setup and will be able to operate them. OTT are the ones who supervises the circumstances in the operating room and who work alongside with the surgeon, anaesthesiologist and nurse in order to provide quality patient care throughout the surgery, and need skills for that which are fulfilled by this program.

Those who opted this course will understand the fundamentals of discipline, ethics, layout and equipment’s in operation theatre which includes preparing and maintaining operation theatre & equipments. Students will understand the role and scope of the operation theatre technology in the healthcare setting with respect to preoperative and postoperative care of the patient. Students will develop skills necessary to identify the treatment procedures and requirements based on various surgeries or operating procedures.

Team work is essential as this profession necessitate the person to work in partnership with other healthcare providers. so, apart from technical skills student’s communication and behavioural skills are also improved. This Program will build the Knowledge of Basic Science like Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Hematology, Pathology etc.
